In addition to the Ham Radio Tech Notes group on groups.io, Bill, K5LK is the group admin for a sub-group whose purpose is to facilitate discussion and communication on group activities related to mentoring of hams on newer technologies and operating modes. While all hams are encouraged to participate, our programs primarily target newly licensed and returning hams. We are looking for hams to be part of our advisory team. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Bill-K5LK, Walter-K5WH, Joe-W5BSA or John-K5JBT.

Update from our club president Ron Matusek, WA6TQH:

We have been notified that in-person meetings at the KFVD Station 3 facility are back on for March. Check here on W5NC.net and on the reflector, Facebook, and on Twitter for updates.

We encourage all who feel comfortable with in-person attendance to join us for our in-person meetings. Please attend responsibly - if you are not feeling well or have a fever, stay home and attend on ZOOM. For the foreseeable future, we plan to continue the ZOOM meetings, whether we are able to have in-person meetings or not.

For current information and guidance on the COVID situation, please visit the following sites:

  • Harris County Health COVID Dashboard
  • Texas COVID information
  • Centers for Disease Control

When license testing is available, we will announce it here and on the reflector. Please visit our testing information page for current requirements and guidelines. Thanks for being considerate.
